How it works
From sign-up to signed-in guests.
Sign-up today is one email — self-serve sign-up opens soon. Setup is self-serve too, on your venue's own UniFi network (Ubiquiti's widely used business Wi-Fi kit), and most venues are live within two working days.
Step by step
Three steps, start to finish.
Today, that's one email: your venue's name, roughly where you are, and whether you run UniFi. We reply within one working day. Self-serve sign-up opens soon — until then, the inbox is the front door.
Connect your UniFi network
Setup is self-serve, and most venues are live within two working days. Stuck at any point? The people who built Zest step in. Not on UniFi yet? We'll tell you exactly what you'd need.
Design, publish, done
Set your logo, colours, welcome message and sign-in form in the designer, with a live preview as you go. Publish when it looks right. From then on, guests sign themselves in — and every consent goes down in the record.
Before you start
Do I have UniFi?
UniFi is Ubiquiti's widely used business Wi-Fi kit — common enough that you may well run it without knowing the name. Zest works with UniFi, and only UniFi, today.
And if you don't know, that's a perfectly good first question.
Already on UniFi? It comes with a free guest portal of its own — here's the honest comparison with Zest.
Look at the kit
The UniFi or Ubiquiti mark on your router or access points — the boxes that broadcast your Wi-Fi — gives it away.
Ask whoever set it up
The person or company that installed your network will know straight away.
Or email us a photo
Send a photo of your kit to hello@netmo.it and we'll tell you what you're running.
Front of house
What your guests see.
Guests join your Wi-Fi and the phone opens its own small sign-in window — the one you've seen in hotels and on trains. Inside it is your portal: your welcome, a short form, one explicit consent tick, and they're online in seconds.
Returning guests can be recognised and waved straight through. And if Zest is ever unreachable, the portal steps aside — guests still get online, because connectivity comes first.
Once you're live
What you get.
From the day you publish, each site keeps its own count: how many guests saw the portal, how many signed in, how many got online. One glance shows whether the welcome is doing its work.
Consented sign-ups can flow to your marketing tools by webhook — an automatic feed from Zest to the software you already use — with a direct Mailchimp connection due in the coming weeks.
- Per-site numbers: portal views → sign-ins → online
- A consent record behind every sign-in — versioned, and tamper-evident so it can't be quietly edited
- Your whole list as a CSV — a plain spreadsheet file — any time
The technical bit
For whoever looks after your IT.
Hand this part to your IT company or installer — or read on if that's you. The facts they'll ask for first, short enough to forward.
- Built for UniFi
- Zest works with UniFi networks, and only UniFi, today. Not on UniFi? We'll say exactly what you'd need.
- Self-serve setup
- Onboarding is self-serve, and most venues are live within two working days. If anything snags, the engineers who built Zest step in.
- Connectivity comes first
- If Zest is ever unreachable, guests still get online — the portal fails open.
- Separate from the tills
- On a standard setup, guest Wi-Fi runs separately from the network your tills and card machines use.
- UK-hosted
- The platform runs on Microsoft Azure in the UK, with each customer's data kept separate.
- Access, accounted for
- Two-factor authentication — a second check beyond the password — on accounts that touch guest data. Support access is time-limited and fully logged.
