What we collect, and what we do with it.

Zest Wi-Fi is built and run by Netmo Ltd, a UK managed service provider. We make guest Wi-Fi software for hospitality; this notice covers our own website, zestwifi.com, and its public preview copies at zest-website-6ow.pages.dev and subdomains of that address. It covers nothing else.

Reading these pages sends Cloudflare Web Analytics a small measurement: which page loaded, where the visit came from, your country and device type, your browser and operating system, and how quickly the page loaded. It gives us totals for visits and page views. It uses no cookies or advertising trackers, doesn't follow you between websites, and doesn't give us a profile of you.

The one place the site asks you for anything is the form on our contact page. If you choose to use it, what you put in — name, email address, venue, whether you run UniFi (Ubiquiti's widely used business Wi-Fi kit), and your message — comes to us and is handled as ordinary correspondence, exactly as if you'd emailed. Entry No. 03 has the detail, and No. 04 covers the bot check that form runs.

Two other companies help us run this website: Cloudflare, who serve the pages, run the cookieless analytics and check the form for bots, and SMTP2GO, who deliver the resulting email to us. Both act on our instructions, and neither is allowed to use your details for anything of their own. Entries No. 03, 04 and 05 say what each of them sees.

We build software whose whole job is treating personal data properly. It would be strange if our own website did anything less.

There are exactly two ways to hand this website your personal data, and both are deliberate: emailing hello@netmo.it, or the form on the contact page. Either way, what we receive is what you chose to send, and nothing more.

Form submissions reach our inbox as an email, delivered by our email provider, SMTP2GO; they aren't published anywhere and they aren't kept on this website. Nothing you type is stored on the site itself, and it isn't written to any log — the record is the email in our inbox, and that's all.

Before that email is sent, the form is checked for signs of automated spam: the bot check in entry No. 04, and some straightforward rules of our own about how a message is put together. If a message looks like spam we may set it aside rather than reply. If you've written to us and heard nothing within a working day, email hello@netmo.it directly and it will reach a person.

We use what you send to reply — and, if you become a customer, to get you set up. It's kept as ordinary business correspondence and deleted on request; the same address works for that too. No marketing lists, no passing it on — no marketing use, ever.

The contact form is a target for spam robots, and without a check on it the enquiries that matter get buried. So the form carries Cloudflare Turnstile: a check that runs in your browser and works out whether it's talking to a person. Most of the time you'll see a box tick itself and be asked to do nothing.

To make that judgement, Turnstile looks at your IP address and at signals about your browser and how it behaves on the page, and it may store a small amount of data in your browser while it does so. It does not read what you type. Cloudflare states that Turnstile "does not access, store, or transmit user communications, form entries, or other page inputs", and our own code sends it nothing but the check's own result — never your message, your name or your email address.

Cloudflare runs Turnstile as our processor, under their Turnstile privacy addendum, which says it isn't used for advertising or for tracking people between websites. It loads from challenges.cloudflare.com on the contact page only — no other page on this site loads it.

If your browser can't run it — some workplace networks block it — the form will tell you it couldn't send rather than pretending it worked. Email hello@netmo.it instead; it reaches exactly the same inbox and the same person.

This site is served through Cloudflare's network — it's how the pages load quickly wherever you are. Delivering any web page means processing the visitor's IP address for a moment; that's how the internet works, and this site is no exception.

We also load Cloudflare Web Analytics on every page. Its small beacon counts visits and page views and measures page speed. It records the page, the referring site, country, device type, browser, operating system and load performance. It uses no cookies. Cloudflare states that it does not collect or use visitors' personal data or track individual people across its customers' websites; Netmo sees totals and trends, not a visitor profile. Your browser loads the beacon from static.cloudflareinsights.com and sends its measurement to cloudflareinsights.com. You can read Cloudflare's data-collection explanation.

Netmo doesn't use hosting logs or Web Analytics to identify visitors, build advertising profiles or follow people between websites.

If you've signed in to guest Wi-Fi at a pub, hotel or café that runs Zest Wi-Fi, the details you left are a separate matter from this website, with their own arrangements:

Each venue's portal carries its own privacy notice, shown where your details are actually collected. For questions about data you left at a venue, the venue is the right first call — though if you email us instead, we'll happily point you the right way. If this website ever changes in a way that makes this notice out of date, we'll update this page and change the date at the top, in the same release that makes the change — never afterwards. That's how the contact form, the bot check and these cookieless analytics arrived: this notice changed on the same day each time.
